Photos of Me by My Husband "Bear"

Well On the 4th of July I told my husband "Bear" if he would stay home from work I would model for him so he could practice his portrait photography. I hate being the model but I was determined to have him have a day off his hard job and enjoy doing photography together even if it meant I had to be the model.

I have to admit that these are probably some of the best photos I have had taken of me. It was fun to watch him work from the other side of the camera for a change.

Please leave your comments on how well you think he did. I know the subject is not the best but he took great photos of what he had to work with.

Here are a few to enjoy.

A Fun Day at UCSD with Yvonne

A couple of weeks ago I got to take graduation photos for my oldest son Josh's girlfriend Yvonne at UCSD! I knew that we would have a great time hanging out and doing photography, so I invited a very dear friend who is a extremely talented photographer. . . RICKY MIA.

I just want to thank Ricky for coming all the way down to Sand Diego to shoot with us.

We had a totally great time, Yvonne, Josh Heather and Andy were so much fun to phtoograph. We went to several locations on the UCSD campus then we finished the day up down in La Jolla on the beach.

Here are a few images from the awesome day we had together.

Vanesza & Ryan

I was fortunate enough to be asked by my good friend Ricky Mia to help him shoot Venesza & Ryan's wedding on the beach in Santa Barbara a couple of weeks ago. I had such a great time! the ceremony was so beautiful it even brought this photographer to shed a tear or two.

I hope that you enjoy the images of this great couples beach front wedding!

Ricky & Mia at the dog Beach in Santa Barbara

Here are some images of Rick and his dog Mia ( at least we let him think she is his, but we are just letting him hang out with her now and then)

It has been a complete privilege and honor to get to know and call Ricky and Mia our dearest friends! We couldn't ask for a more genuinely nice guy then Ricky! Plus he is a great photographer to boot!

Leslie

Bear & I had the pleasure of a fun filled afternoon and evening photographing our good friend Leslie. She is an amazingly beautiful woman and very talented actress. We were all over Los Angeles and ended our day down at the Santa Monica Pier having dinner at my favorite place. . . BUBBA GUMPS!

Here are a few images from our adventures with Leslie!

My Weight Loss

As most of you know, that have known me for more then 2 years, I had Gastric Bypass surgery April 27, 2005. My top weight was 335 lbs. and my current weight that I am holding at is 155lbs. That is a loss of 180 lbs. I am currently half the woman I use to be and I feel GREAT!!

Having this surgery was the greatest gift I could have given myself. I feel so much more alive and able to do so much more. My ability to do more wild photography is far greater now that I can walk, hike and climb further and faster then before. Plus I can breath much better now then I used to.

My love of nature and photography are even more intertwined then before. Now I can go deeper into the wild then I could before. I am so blessed to have had the chance to start live over at 38 when I had the surgery and now at nearly 41 I feel better then I did when I was 21 years old.

Below are a few photos that I came across last night on the computer, so you can see where I came from and where I am now. I hope you enjoy a look at the old me and the new me.

Would love to hear what you think of the BIG change I have gone through over the last couple of years.
